Mindy Keen, Owner
Meet Mindy Keen the CEO of Total Tech Solutions LLC. Mindy was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. Growing up in a humble home meant resources were not at arm’s reach. So when Mindy lost her vision due to Retinitis Pigmentosa. She felt like her life was falling apart. She was now a blind single mother with no idea how she would be able to take care of herself and her child. Mindy did all she could to maintain her independence, but with the lack of training or equipment there was not much she could do. When Mindy took the initiative to go in search of the tools she needed, she was blown away by all the technologies and resources there were for someone who is blind or visually impaired. She was then introduced to the technology world, where she learned about computer and phone software that talks, along with many other assistive technology.
As Mindy continued her path to independence, she also started working in sales for a local non-profit. Where she met her husband Shawn Keen. Mindy’s life had now completely changed for the better. Anyone that crossed paths with her could see how she was glowing with confidence from regaining her life. She no longer felt ashamed or isolated. There truly was life after blindness. She is living proof that when you are determined and motivated, no matter what life throws your way, you have to keep moving and reaching for success. Mindy truly could have never done it without all the support from her family, her husband, but most of all, her son, Ezekiel, who is the reason Mindy never gave up and continued her path to independence.
